Scotsman mixes latest ice technologies and trending cocktails at LCF 2025

Stand SO4, London Coffee Festival, The Truman Brewery, London, 15-18 May 2025

Ice is now a must have for any serious coffee menu.  At the London Coffee Festival leading icemaker brand Scotsman, and its UK distributor, Hubbard Systems, will be showing off both the latest ice maker technology and the latest trends in iced coffee recipes along with cocktails, mocktails and more.

On stand will be a prototype of the upcoming Scotsman Supercuber undercounter ice machine, due to launch in October.  Combining the latest environment-friendly technology with outstanding aesthetics, its energy- and water-saving features will reduce the operator’s carbon footprint and their running costs, while its advanced hygiene systems enhance ice safety and save staff time.  The Supercuber makes gourmet ice that’s crystal clear and long lasting.

Also on stand is the new DXN187 ice and iced water dispenser.  This attractively sleek and compact counter top machine makes cubelet ice, which has a slow melt rate and is ideal for self-serve in, for example, cafeterias and fast food outlets.  Like all Scotsman’s popular machines it runs on R290, a natural, ‘green’ refrigerant.  Despite its small footprint, it can make up to 120kg of ice per day, and its bin holds enough to serve 200 customers, one after the other.  It’s customisable, so operators can select touch or touch-free dispensing.

Visitors will be able to check out top barista Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion 2016, who will be demonstrating a variety of coffee-based iced drinks, both soft and alcoholic.  And, of course, there’ll be a chance to sample some of them!

The ice experts from Hubbard Systems will be on stand throughout the show to discuss all aspects of coffee and ice – including which type of ice is best for different applications.
